![]() ![]() ![]() Guy is such an incredibly warm and generous man. It worked amazingly well! He had constructive feedback for everybody. Guy and his buddy (not sure who ended up with him) were on scooters, which meant he could buzz all over the cove and check out how the newer divers were faring. I wish I had been anywhere NEAR that controlled at 30 dives, dry suit or not! At the end, because Guy had suggested we do some ascent work, I did a minimum deco ascent from 30 feet, and Sergei hit every stop and held his depth, and controlled the last ascent from 10 feet perfectly. I dove with Sergei, who was on his second dive in his brand new, beautiful, teal and black DUI drysuit, and he rocked it! We scoped out several octopus dens, looked at the pilings and found some warbonnets, and swam over an enormous ling cod. Then we paired off (with enough folks to put an experienced diver with every newer one, I think) and headed down to dive. Oh, this afternoon was SO much fun! After Guy spent a LOT of time helping folks adjust harnesses and do other minor gear tweaks, we got in the water and he checked basic buoyancy and trim. ![]()
